Profile Emergency Lighting was established in January 1999 by Paul Sammon B.E. (Elec) who has to date over 36 years experience in the lighting industry. The company has grown to include commercial/industrial lighting, central power systems and lighting control systems. We are now trading as Profile Lighting & Power to reflect our expanded portfolio and to support our customer’s diverse needs.
The company strategy is to establish a business providing a complete lighting service to meet the safety, technical, design and service demands of our customers.
We partner with some of the leading lighting companies in the market, Mackwell, Tridonic, Liteplan and Olympia Electronics.
Our commitment to quality was rewarded in 2003 with the certification ISO9001:2000 “The manufacture, supply, maintenance and commissioning of emergency lighting and fire detection systems”.
The company is regularly requested to submit tenders on Government and private projects as a result of our commitment to quality, service and standards.
Profile Lighting & Power are members of many associations including LAI, ISME, EMDA and sit on the NSAI committee “I.S. 3217:2013 +A1 2017 Code of Practice for Emergency Lighting”. We are an Enterprise Ireland client company.
Profile Lighting & Power’s business is broken down into a number of sections.

- Modification of mains lighting to incorporate emergency inverter packs.

Operating from a 6500sq-ft. factory unit just off the M11 Profile Lighting & Power is ideally positioned to provide a distribution centre and conversion unit supplying our customers.
Profile Lighting & Power currently employs 12 at its Co. Wicklow premises.
In addition to our conversion service Profile Lighting & Power also provides a commissioning and maintenance service. We have in excess of 100 individual maintenance contracts with the Office of Public Works covering Garda Stations, Employment Exchanges and Government Offices throughout the country.
In addition to the Office of Public Works contracts, we also have the maintenance contract with the DAA for the Terminal 1 Dublin Airport, Dundrum Town Centre, Cork University Hospital, St Vincent’s Private Hospital, Mater Hospital, Pairc Ui Chaoimh stadium Cork, Tullamore Dew Distillery, and many commercial office buildings and hotels throughout the country.
Profile Lighting & Power has Public/Products Liability & Efficacy Cover for €2.6 million. Professional Indemnity insurance for designs. In addition all service engineers have completed the Safe Pass Site Safety Course and are FETAC Level 6 qualified to commission and maintain emergency lighting installations.
Profile Lighting & Power supplies emergency lighting products to the industry through major Electrical Contractors Lighting Companies, selected wholesalers and project specific customers.
